Reviving Evan ~ Review

Reviving Evan by Venessa Kimball
Publication Date: November 13, 2015 on Kindle
(paperback will follow with Saving Gavin and Resurrecting Gavin as bonus material)
Just a few short weeks after the school shooting that rocked Braxton Springs, life has resumed. School is back in session, and, with it, the students who bullied Gavin Ferguson into bringing a gun to that fateful pep rally.
But life can never return to normal for Evan and her friends. Gavin is still in the hospital. Asher and Nikki are planning futures away from home. And Brody is pulling away from them all, leaving Evan feeling more alone than ever.
Just when she thinks she’s gotten control of her emotions and secrets, the spirals strike again. Evan struggles to regain her life free of medication and control the urges to fall back into dismantlement. But Brody’s hot-and-cold attitude confuses her, just as the community’s forgiveness to the bullying elite creates a bitter rock around her heart.
Will the suffering inflicted upon Evan and her friends throw her back into a spiral, threatening the life she has rebuilt for herself? Or will she rise above the tragedy and loss, reviving the life she thought she could never have?
Reviving Evan offers an insightful look into the lives of six teenagers thrust together by shared grief, and how those lives are individually affected by love, loss, and painful mistreatment by others. This novella proceeds the best selling novel, Dismantling Evan.

This series is one everyone should read!, November 12, 2015
I can not recommend it enough! Prepare yourself as Kimball walks us through the highs & lows of life ripping away our jaded glasses. We are swiftly thrust into this emotion filled journey never completely ready for the revelations we will find. Every tear was well worth it as we get to join in the joys as well as the pain of these families. Anyone who has ever gone to school can relate, & emotions are quickly put to the test.
If you have teens, know a teen, or even just remember being a teen I encourage you to read this! On top of the diverse group of characters, we fall for hard, the story hits many topics & various ways to look at things some may have not noticed before. Reminding us all that
"Life is unstable...but worth reviving."

We don't ever have it all figured out.
Just...Keep searching for your light.
Rejoice your triumphs. Celebrate your accomplishments.
Find your hope. Never give up.

The Romance Collection ~ Review

The Romance Collection, Christmas 2012 Special 3 in 1 Romance EditionThe Romance Collection, Christmas 2012 Special 3 in 1 Romance Edition by Aneesa PriceMy rating: 5 of 5 stars

All three of these books are terrific! Here are my 3 reviews since they are all different types of stories. ;)

Coffin Girls ~ Read in January 2013
A mini vacation to a magical world awaits you!
If you like a good action packed paranormal romance story then you are sure to love this! It's full of vampires, werewolves, witches, fae & magick!! The characters are awesome & totally rockin' the paranormal world! The Coffin Girls are full of spunk & life! Their home, their world felt real, inviting, & so full of life. It absolutely addicting!! I adore Conall, Raulf, Sylvain, & Niul. Anais is a very lucky gal! I am so excited to see what the Goddess has in store for them all! I thoroughly enjoyed my mini vacation to this magical world Aneesa transported me to!! When I read 'The End' I felt like Anais had while saying goodbye...that's all you'll get out of me...you will have to read it to find out what that's mean!! =D I will be awaiting our next journey with the Coffin Girls (WHICH I ASSURE YOU CAN'T GET HERE FAST ENOUGH)!

Finding Promise ~ Read in January of 2013
I am completely in love with Finding Promise...the town, the people, & their story!!! This novel takes us on a journey that is much more than a simple love story. Full of depth & charisma it didn't take long to feel for these characters & what they were going through. Although I did not expect to feel so strongly about their decisions. I found myself sharing in their laughter, heartache, & most of all their self discovery. Isn't it funny how we grow ... not always realizing how much our past affects & influences us? I love the endless possibilities we find when we take a moment to reflect & take back control. Don't get me wrong, this is so much more than a love story! It's full of excitement & laughter too. I love how Caroline attacked her issues, & I especially loved how Luke attacked his! =) The community of Promise is a wonderful magical place that I look forward to visiting again & again!

Ghosts & Lovers ~ Read in July of 2013
A great introduction to Simone & her tales, & not too over the top for those of us just beginning to venture into the erotica genre.
Aneesa Price never ceases to amaze me! In this tale she not only succeeds in drawing me into Simone's world, but she then proceeds to chill me to the bone. Yes this is has some very steamy scenes for the erotica lovers, but the story itself is really good too! I personally love a good ghost story, & what better way to scare the socks off of you then to think of a ghost being able to do to you what he did to Simone? The mysterious helper who shows up to help was great! I will be watching for more confessions of ghosts & lovers.

 About the Author:
Aneesa Price writes romance and lives it with her university sweetheart and husband. After having surmounted the challenges of being in a bi-racial marriage in the newly democratic South Africa, she now attributes her marital bliss to purposefully added spice and passionately resolved differences. Aneesa completed her internship in counseling psychology and went on to work first as a therapist and then in Corporate Finance in on projects and in organizational change. This diversity in experience, coupled with her understanding of the human psyche, is translated into her writing through the creation of believable, flawed characters with the innate ability to overcome adversity.

WARNING*** Do NOT attempt to read this book while holding any of hot beverage...you or your ereader are bound to end up wearing part of it, & let's face it hot liquid hurts! Also, If you do not want to laugh hysterically causing some odd looks directed your way do not read this book in public! It is highly possible a snort or two may escape you somewhere in between catching your breath. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED...Proceed.

Who would have thought the zombie apocalypse could be so funny? Definitely not me! Now don't get me wrong ~ There is plenty of zombie butt kickin' goin' on plus a terrific story to hold our attention! BUT...Jade & Kylee are hilarious, & I love their quirky ways! There's no lack of spunk with all of that attitude & determination flyin' around. I had no doubt after reading Jade & Kylee's stories that I adored this duo. I really enjoyed the new characters Jenn brought in this episode as well! I look forward to learning more about them.

If this is your first time to read Once Upon A Zombie Apocalypse (or OUAZA as we call it for short) I suggest you download both Jade & Kylee's Stories (that are Free everywhere ebooks are sold) & read those first. That way you get to know the main characters a bit better before delving into their world. They are both short stories, & you won't regret it.

My favorite quote from OUAZA 2 would have to be: "It's all right. You should see me and my brother go at it at times. That is what people who love each other do. Ya know, you would take a bullet for them if you had to, but other times you wanna punch them in the face."

K.B. Miller and Jennifer Malone Wright are both authors of the paranormal and urban genres. K.B. and Jennifer met as mere acquaintances and have now formed a life-long friendship.

K.B. Miller is best known for her best selling series The Moon Coven. She has several other works in progress which will release in 2013. Roller coaster ride of a good read!, November 17, 2012
OMG talk about heart racing anxiety attack!?! If you're looking for a roller coaster ride of a good read then this book is for you! It's action packed, funny, & full of life! I LOVE this book...for so many reasons!!! Not only are the characters adorable, entertaining, & full of charm, but the story feels like it's meant to be. It never... feels forced & flows so well. As Kansas (Ruby) is learning life lessons, decision making, & hidden truths I relate to her as I'm taken back in time to being that carefree teen who has yet to understand life yet.
As Cassar reveals the next lil' piece of her puzzle I am drawn in more & more! I absolutely love Brennan, Anya, & Jeremy!!! And...thanks to that ending...I can not wait for the next book!
