The Ghosts of Rue Dumaine
by Alexandrea Weis

Published September 1st 2013

Blurb:
Ready to get her life back on track after ending a painful marriage, Danica Giles returns to the Creole cottage where she grew up in the New Orleans French Quarter. Danica is anxious to rekindle her friendship with a former resident from her old neighborhood, the seductive Gaston Deslonde. But Gaston isn’t exactly a normal guy. The charming man has been dead for over a hundred and fifty years, and the childish crush Danica once had on her ghostly playmate quickly turns into something much deeper. When a handsome new man enters Danica’s life, Gaston vows to do whatever he can to hold on to her. Danica soon discovers that the most forbidden of all desires cannot be satisfied without paying a grave price. Love can blur the lines between life and death when you are living among the ghosts of Rue Dumaine.

My Review:
5 Stars
A great read that will chill you to the bone., February 20, 2014
A great read that will chill you to the bone. I enjoyed getting to know these characters & their very rich histories. There were a few instances that I found myself a bit skeptical, but it's a whole other world when dealing with the dead. Right?!? I have to say Weis did a terrific job of bringing the spooky to life, & her attention to detail astounded me. After chapter one I could not put it down. The story seemed to flow out of her magically. So much went into these characters, the feelings, & their background stories without distracting or confusing us of the main story taking place now. If you enjoy a good ghost story then buckle up for a great ride! This one's got loads of spirits waiting & plenty of action, romance, & a few twists you wouldn't believe.
