Is it too soon to ask for book 2??, October 15, 2018
I fell hard for these characters! I love how they are all so unique yet each shines through their turmoil. And the loyalty they show to each other is the real deal!! Detroit, a true leader, had me rooting for her from the start. Auggie is one of my very faves even though Houston is absolutely swoon worthy. Benny & June though...their connection...oh my heart! (Btw...I love that they are named after characters in one of my favorite movies.) I felt like I’d trained along side them in that tight knit little group (which continually had me on edge during each mission), & there I was repeatedly laughing out loud at the snarky banter they tossed around haphazardly.

Honestly sci-fi is not my go to genre however Apocalypse 5 gave me all the feels! Be prepared to have your world turned upside down as this apocalyptic setting spins out of control, & all that we believed true is twisted & shattered in every direction. No spoilers here, but it does not disappoint! Action packed drama with just enough heat to sizzle through the near frostbite. And...depth! There was so much to enjoy, & then all of a sudden we’d find another gem emerge from the rubble. Seriously feeling sad that I finished this book already. It was too hard to put down, & now I’ll be biting nails until the next release.
