Oh happy day!!!,  March 21, 2017

Trigger took me back to my happy place ... way back when I very first stumbled upon Scarlett Dawn with her King Hall ~ Forever Evermore Series. MEMORIES!!!!!

If you've read that series then you know how addictively intoxicating her shifters are. Especially the alphas!

If you are new to her work then you should prepare yourself for action packed, drama filled, attitude spewin', hotness that may or may not leave you hanging' on a mega cliff until the next release! She creates worlds that engulf the senses & refuse to fit inside the "normal" box. There will always be a character (or two) who would rather die than submit to the rules. BTW...these worlds may not always feel "realistic"...which is exactly why I love them. I am instantly transported to wherever her vivid mind takes us, & details are never lacking. As with every book I have read of hers, I want MORE more MORE & by the time I realize I am on the last page it is much too late!

Trigger hit every one of these reasons on the head for me.

From the rebellious Poppy who just wants to prove herself capable of making her own decisions to her overbearing father & his soldiers who just want to do what's "best" for her & their women to the king of the shifters & his peeps who nobody ever knew existed. Even with an undeniable attraction she chose to leave & make her own way in the world. Until fate stepped in to reveal it's true plan.

And that's when it got REALLY good!

But, for realz, who wouldn't hope to find some ridiculously HAWT immortal to fall for & save the world/rebuild it with if we humans had destroyed our planet/population anyway?

DPR: MIAMI, Episode 5: Dark Waters ~ Review

DPR: MIAMI

Episode 5: Dark Waters

by Allyson Gottlieb & Kassandra Kush

Publication Date: September 15, 2016

In glittering Miami, vampires run the nightclubs of South Beach, werewolves roam the streets of Little Havana, and every day, crooked paranormals break the law in ways that would be unsolvable or even undetectable by ordinary police. Solving these crimes falls on the shoulders of a secret branch of the criminal justice system known as the Department of Paranormal Regulation.

***

Episode 5: The morning after the department’s annual Halloween party, Erica is back to her old ways and Quinn finds a girl washed up on the beach that claims to be a mermaid. The girls agree to help her when she reveals a connection to Demetrius, the mysterious terrorist that has the DPR all up in arms. Meanwhile, Quinn feels pressured to go public with AJ, only to be frustrated and confused when he doesn’t feel the same.

You had me at mermaid!, September 22, 2016

The DPR Halloween bash had me longing for my favorite time of year. It is awesome seeing Erica & Quinn bonding more & more, but man what a close call! I was worried it would all be thrown away for a moment! And THEN Hadley's party erupts into mass hysteria! Oh man this is getting INTENSE!!! And let us not forget about the mermaid who popped up adding yet another layer of excitement & questions. It's a pretty big feat to catch the ones off guard who have practically seen it all.
Love this series!!!!! Can NOT wait for episode 6!!!!!!

Episode 4: The girls take on a case involving a society matron’s drug overdose that seems related to witches, but leads are few and insubstantial. Tensions escalate between Quinn and Raina, and Quinn’s suspicions about a growing threat in the paranormal underworld are validated in a horrifying way.

This has been a great ride!, September 15, 2016

More intrigue, more intense, & I'm excited to see what's coming next! The suspense of the DPR cases & investigators is becoming addicting!! I can't get enough of them! Quinn & AJ, Erica, Reed, Tom & Kelly, Raina, Stella, & the mysterious Demetrius too.

Episode 5 can't load fast enough!
