Tonic ~ Review

Tonic by Staci Hart
Publication Date: October 13, 2016

Joel Anderson doesn’t take anything seriously.

Not his relationships, which have been few and far between since his brutal divorce. Not the drama of working in a tattoo parlor, which seems to be around every corner. When things get him down, he smiles and cracks a joke. But he’s not the kind of man you cross, or you’ll find yourself at the wrong end of his fists. Annika Belousov takes everything seriously. Like her job as a reality television producer, given that she typically has something to prove. Or her love life, which is defined by a series of requirements — affluent, ambitious, accomplished, to name a few. Definitely her family, who worked their whole lives to afford her every opportunity, a sacrifice she doesn’t take lightly. When she’s tapped to produce a reality show at Joel’s shop, she doesn’t think twice, just goes in for the kill, as if there were any other way. The second Annika walks into Joel’s shop, he makes it his mission to crack her open, but she’s not having it. He’s all wrong — too crass, too hairy, too un-serious. But it doesn’t take her long to find out there’s more to him than smirks and tattoos. And what she finds could put her career and his heart on the line. Not that Joel cares. Because for the first time in a long time, he’s found his tonic.

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Talk about a book hangover!, October 14, 2016
I can not effectively describe all of the feelings this book forced me to experience simultaneously. It was intense & intoxicating meets euphoric peaceful bliss, & then my soul was literally ripped out as my heart shattered in every direction. I felt every single joy & pain they experienced. I giggled, fumed, oohed, & cried right along with them. The drama & pain was so vivid I could barely stand it. I had fallen in love & begged for their redemption as I quickly turned the next pages. And just when I thought it was irreparably over I realized the best was yet to come. Boy did this ever give me a book hangover!!! So much emotion! So much Awesome!! So very worth it!!!
*Not for the faint of heart or anyone who is not ready to accept what could be*'
Anything is possible if we want it bad enough!

Staci has been a lot of things up to this point in her life -- a graphic designer, an entrepreneur, a seamstress, a clothing and handbag designer, a waitress. Can't forget that. She's also been a mom, with three little girls who are sure to grow up to break a number of hearts. She's been a wife, though she's certainly not the cleanest, or the best cook. She's also super, duper fun at a party, especially if she's been drinking whiskey. From roots in Houston to a seven year stint in Southern California, Staci and her family ended up settling somewhere in between and equally north, in Denver. They are new enough that snow is still magical. When she's not writing, she's reading, sleeping, gaming, or designing graphics.

Last Call ~ Review

Last Call ~ Bad Habits #3
by Staci Hart
Publication Date: February 15, 2016
Once Rose Fisher makes a decision, that’s it. End of story.

Like when her ex, Patrick, dumped her out of the blue, then showed up with a super hot, tatted up sex kitten on his arm. Then it was over for good. The end. Poof. Dead to her. Except he was everywhere — down the hall, at the bar with their friends, worming his way into her dreams.

But with their friends paired off, they’re left alone more and more. Rose is determined to keep him friendzoned — doesn’t matter that he stares at her with a smolder that drops all panties in a ten foot radius. She’s over him, and she’ll prove it by getting back into the dating game, Patrick be damned.

Patrick Evans is no stranger to consequences. When your mother walks out, your dad drifts away. When you leave home, you’re on your own. And when you run away from the girl you love, you lose her. He finally has an opportunity to rebuild the bridge he burned, and it’s not one he’ll take for granted. But he’ll have to fight for her, even if it hurts. Even if it means he’ll walk away brokenhearted. Because deep down, he knows that she’s it for him.

The trick will be to get her to admit she feels it too.

Last Call is a bestselling standalone romantic comedy and third book in the Bad Habits series.

I loved this book!! It was intense, emotional, & filled with everyday life drama plus a whole lot of awesome characters who have you begging for more! Last Call's diverse group of friends had me laughing, crying, & shouting along their journey.

Then there are the antagonists who show up inviting chaos into the daily routine. I definitely enjoyed being on the outside looking in for those instances. It's always easier for the outsiders to judge & kick those to the curb though. I guess it's all about perspective really.

Fantastic story about a romance that could end badly or be triumphant...it's all up to the one calling the shots. Are you willing to go all in & risk heartache or possible bliss? Or would you choose to break it off before any potential pain occurs? There are no set rules in the game of love. These two making a decision & following through is the maker/breaker, & I enjoyed every bit of it!

My Review:
5 Stars
Truly a nonstop roller coaster you don't want to miss! August 13, 2013

*For Mature Audiences*
18+ Readers!

Aaaaaargh! I can not tell you how loud I screamed at the end of this book! I won't tell you why...that you will have to read for yourself to find out. What I can tell you is I could NOT put this book down! I must also tell you that I do not care much for violence & abuse in my reading choices...BUT when done tastefully (& this was definitely done tastefully) I can overlook it. Especially when it adds so much to the story rather than hindering it.

This story is seriously Addicting!!! A must read full of emotion, mystery, action, fear, terror, comedy, romance, & plenty of Smexy as well! Truly a nonstop roller coaster you don't want to miss!
I absolutely adore Inky! She is a true diamond in the rough, an extremely strong heart who chooses to surpass her past & offenders in the amazing way she does! Her BFF Aimes is fabulous, & I am glad to have a few Aimes' in my life. Abe has to be a favorite of mine! Gus is adorable & I respect him immensely. Trish is ... well ... Awesome! Anthony is terrific. But Cole...now he is absolutely dreamy! Perfection really!
Be forewarned this ending is going to have you jumping out of your seat screaming as you attempt to flip the page ... only to find that's it ... there is no more! And now we wait for the sequel that I wish I had in hand right now. *sigh* I KNOW IT WILL BE WORTH THE WAIT THOUGH! :)

 TEASER ONE:
“Please…” I begged. The way he spoke and the words he used, I wanted him more than ever. I felt him move to my feet, straddling the end of the chaise. He was stroking his cock harder and hissing between his teeth. “Come for me. Come for me so I can put my cock in you and fuck you hard and finally make you scream, Anika. Come for me.” His words were like fire igniting my flesh. I came at his urging and as soon as the first shudders of my orgasm began, he thrust himself into me, hard and deep. “Ah, Cole, yes…please, please.” I felt the second wave begin as he rammed against me, his sweat dripping onto my face as we came together. He cried out my name, almost a roar and I’d never heard anything more erotic and sexy in my life. I wasn’t sure if I did indeed scream but it was beyond amazing. He collapsed against me, panting and breathless. “God, what you to do me. How did you know I’d like that?” “Lucky guess?” I replied trying to catch my breath.
