Those Savage Stars
Star Kissed ~ Book 1
by Cameo Renae
Publication Date: April 3, 2023

Elara:
As an infant, I was abandoned on the steps of a church.
My childhood was spent in an abusive foster home.
At nineteen, I killed someone.

Not long after, three men in black cloaks kidnap me and whisk me through a magical portal to a world I never knew existed. A world they say is my home. But the enchanting realm of Celestria is in turmoil. A dark enemy has infiltrated the land and is attempting to seize control. The last hope of the people of Celestria is locating Changelings in the mortal world… like me.

Yet an assessment of my magic leads to a shocking revelation. Someone used a powerful spell to suppress my powers. But who? And why?

Prince Kage Dargan:
The moment I see her, my world pauses.
Though we’ve never met, the girl is familiar to me.
Since I was a boy… she has visited me in my dreams.

Even so, I can’t let my guard down around her. The last Changeling I trusted tried to kill me. Besides, my attraction to her is a temptation I can’t risk. My parents arranged my upcoming marriage years ago and breaking that pact could have steep consequences.

Still, I have to wonder why the girl from my dreams has finally appeared. Is it fate? Or something far more sinister?

The Endangered Review Blog Tour

The Endangered by S.L. Eaves
Publication Date: September 3, 2014
S&D Industries is a prominent pharmaceutical company based in New York. It has, for many years, appeared to exist only for the benefit of humanity, and this year's chief product seems no different. The company's CEO, whom we know only as Striden, announces the imminent delivery of a powerful flu vaccine. The true purposes of S&D are anything but philanthropic, however. The newly-engineered drug does not protect against flu. It turns people into werewolves.

The only group which stands a chance of resisting this change is a population of vampires. The foremost of them, who go by the name of The Endangered, are determined to turn back the mass werewolf infestation. Among them are an ambitious rebel named Catch and Lori, Catch's newly-turned protege. Catch has brought this treacherous world to Lori's doorstep and both their worlds are turned upside-down in the process. Secrets are exposed, alliances are formed. Blood is spilled as the vampires must do everything in their power to preserve both their own kind and that of their food supply.

The Endangered was fast paced, & hard to put down. Eaves does
not hold back when thrusting us into the brutal world of vampires & werewolves where there aren't any glittery escapes. We see the much harsher side of their world yet we still get a glimmer of love peeking in.
We start out on the sidelines of college student life, but are quickly brought face to face with those who lurk in the shadows. Unraveling the mystery of the past leads us on an adventure as we travel the world battling all the while finding the truth is not always black & white. These characters were not bland, & definitely held my attention. The action is well portrayed in the cover art, these are vicious creatures out for blood after all. And...Happy endings are not on the menu.
There were a few things that made me pause momentarily. Examples: the chapters come from different characters point of views without any advance notice or hint of who it is. This confused me momentarily while I had to read a bit ahead to determine which character we are now channeling. There are also a few times that we sort of skip from one place to another, but things were explained afterward. Eaves developed this huge conspiracy which she managed with stealth, & left me in complete shock. I look forward to reading more by this author!

Interview with Author S.L. Eaves
by

TZPP Intern Andy Kubai

Presently, Stephanie L. Eaves is a graduate student at Drexel University, pursuing her MBA. She received my undergraduate degree in Film from University of Pittsburgh. Originally from from West Chester, PA.she lived in Pittsburgh and Minneapolis before returning to the Philadelphia area, where she currently resides. Stephanie's professional background is in marketing, primarily in media and publishing industries. She sort of fell into marketing when she got tired of per diems on film sets and wanted a steady gig. She enjoys being in an environment that promotes creativity.

Stephanie loves to write. She's taken a number of writing courses with a focus on crime fiction and earned a certificate in Professional Writing while attending Pitt. She's also really into fitness, especially running and biking in her free time. While she readily confesses to being bit of a film and television junkie, music has always been a huge influence in nearly every aspect of her life and there's nothing like a good live band.

When home, she's never without a book in arm's reach.

Savior ~ Release Day

Release Day!

Savior (A Higher Collective Novel)
by Jennifer Malone Wright

Formerly... The Birth of Jaiden by Jennifer Malone Wright

Savior (A Higher Collective Novel)
Alexander Lucas is a man of faith, casino owner and vampire. He should be living the Reno high life of riches and immortality. Instead, he wakes each night despising the blood on his hands and begging for a reason to continue on.

The last beat of his heart took place shortly after losing his family to a gruesome and violent death. One snowy night, the creature who had been stalking him finally took his life, in turn giving him the gift of immortality. Yet, immortality to Alex is not a gift, but rather a curse to live in eternal pain.

Nearly a century of tortured existence leads him to a dumpster in a dark alley where he finds a reason for continuing on. Nestled between bits of debris and rubbish a tiny infant wails for help. He calls for his best friend and guardian angel, Danielle, who explains to him that he has been chosen to raise this baby, for she would someday become a very powerful, natural witch. She tells him it is now his job to protect her from the enemy who wants her so badly, yet also to be her father.

Thinking this angel is out of her mind, Alex refuses many times until Danielle convinces him that the enemy, Malcolm and his wife Levine, cannot obtain the child and that they are, indeed attempting to find her. He must keep her safe, because if evil hands raise her than she will grow to possess the power to annihilate them all.

Luckily, Alex is not alone, he has The Higher Collective to assist in his mission. With the combined powers of the Vampires, Angels, Dark Angels, Witches and Warlocks, The Higher Collective prepares for a battle to protect the child from the evil she may possibly inherit.

A few favorite excerpts...

'They knew they were in trouble when Alex's blue eyes lit up with the evil glow of a demon.
What they didn't know was they were not going to live through the night.'

'Out of the silence of the night, a shrill scream pierced through his closed mind. Pain like he had never felt before tore through his head like lightning bolts. He screamed. His head felt like it would explode.
Both hands flew to his head, and he fell to the ground. Water splashed all around him,
and he went down face first.'

'Death is not but eternal life.'

 Author Biography

Jennifer Malone Wright is best known for her short story series, The Vampire Hunter's Daughter. Other works include the follow up to The Vampire Hunter's Daughter series called The Arcadia Falls Chronicles and her vampire novel called Savior. Jennifer also co-authors a series called Once Upon A Zombie Apocalypse.

She resides in the beautiful mountains of northern Idaho with her husband and five children where she practices preparing for the zombie apocalypse. Just kidding!
But seriously, between the craziness of taking care of her children, Jennifer has little time left for herself. The time she does have left, usually leading far into the night, is spent working on her beloved fiction or chatting with her equally crazy friends.
Jennifer also loves coffee, has a passionate affair with red bull, wishes the sushi were better where she lives and dances while she cleans.
