This story is HOT, HAWT, H-O-T!!! You have been Warned! ;*}
I love this story, because it has elements from many of my fave genres in one wonderfully written little package: Suspense, Mystery, & Romance.
Cambria Hebert works her magic once again with characters that grabbed me & pulled me into their inferno of a tale!
Katie is a strong independent woman who never intends to be taken care of in any way, shape, or form. Holt is a genuine charmer who is easy to fall for. Oh ... btw ... did I mention he's also a fireman, & let's face it who hasn't dreamt about being swept away by a jaw-dropping hawt fireman?!? We also have the evil ex who thankfully gets the slap to her ego she so deserves, & a crew of firefighters ready at a moments notice to back up their chief. Let's not forget the creepy murderer wannabe who fails to give us even a teensy glimpse of who they are or why they're after Katie. Then we meet Holt's family & I instantly love them!! All of these added together brings us an original story I could not put down!
If you enjoy a good love story filled with intense heat, tons of plot twists to keep you guessing, & a very unexpected ending then you are sure to love this book as much as I did.
